CAUTION!!! Caution! Please, do not do this at your home! Even do not try!! This video deals with a message with an irrational impact, which does not have to be considered by using logical thinking!
The action in the video is a visualization of Bulgarian expression/saying: TO HIT /TO DASH /TO HUSTLE / TO BEAT / TO KNOCK SOMETHING IN YOUR HEAD!!, TO BEFFET IT IN YOUR HEAD!! – Which means: somebody made enormous efforts to have or to achieve something that he/she don't need after that (if Neno explains it correctly). This video makes a kind of strange and bizarre parallel between the saying above and some "contemporary" icons. Born by the will of somebody to replace the real values of the ideas, which makes the world goes around, the commercial reality usually presents life much more luxurious and wasteful than as it is. Dealing with it and the almost religious and sacred function of "contemporary" icons and “cult” objects, this series of works is a part of my quest of finding the meaning and function of art in nowadays society.
“...In this line of thought: do we need that much all this technical progress, given that in our hearts we are still the same petty and greedy souls, who are ready any time to kill even their own brother for a trifle and anything useless ?!? What does it matter that we have all these spaceships and computers, if wherever we go, whatever we do using them, we will still keep the same thinking of the hairy Neanderthal?!?...”
